Project 3: Medieval Times PowerPoint Presentation
My project is perfect for students who need to learn about the medieval times, because it is and interesting and unique way to learn about those times because you follow along in the life of someone who lived during that time, which makes it more fun and personalized. If I had more time, energy, money, etc., to put into this project, I would have put more special effects and pictures into the PowerPoint. I would have also made a more extensive video instead of the shorter one that I put in at the end. The planning cards were a very good idea and really did help in the process of actually making the PowerPoint. They helped me stay more organized and on top of it. The peer evaluation helped to remind me of several things that I had not gotten around to yet. I learned a lot about the instructional planning process through this project. Mainly, it helped show me that it is important to have goals and check-ups throughout your project so you make sure to stay on top of it and not get behind. ISTE teacher standards that were addressed through this project were numbers 1, 2, and 3. It helped to facilitate and inspire student learning and creativity, design and develop digital age learning experiences and assessments, and model digital age work and learning. This project helped me use my knowledge of a subject/theme (the medieval times), and inspire the students to learn through a creative PowerPoint that I designed. Assessments were included in this project to make sure that they were paying attention and following along. This project helped to exhibit my skill and knowledge with PowerPoint, and use parts of it that are not often used.
